Meet & Learn from the Coach of Andre Agassi at the BTCA Conference 2019
Gabe Jaramillo will be speaking over the 2 day event, showcasing some of the drills which helped develop some of the best players in the game. As if that wasn’t enough, Hungarian coach Tomas Bogyo & former Top 50 ATP Doubles player Marius Barnard will also be presenting. This is an opportunity not too be missed. Gabe Jaramillo is a renowned international tennis coach who has worked with many of the greatest players in the history of the sport. Throughout his career, he’s trained eleven of the world’s No.1-ranked players and 27 top 10 players including Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Pete Sampras, Maria Sharapova, Monica Seles, Kei Nishikori, and many others.
From 1981 to 2009, Jaramillo also worked as the tennis director for the IMG Academy Bollettieri. There, he helped develop many multi-sport training programs and served as Nick Bollettieri’s right-hand man. For 26 consecutive years, Jaramillo coached players at all four Grand Slam events — the French Open, Wimbledon, the Australian Open, and the U.S. Open.
Currently, Jaramillo is the corporate officer of Club Med Academies in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, an elite training facility which provides high-intensity skill development in tennis, golf, volleyball, soccer, and swimming as well as the arts and academics. The center’s professional coaches and specialists work with some of the world’s top athletes, including gold medalists and world champions. Under Jaramillo’s guidance, junior players aspiring to attend top-tier universities have secured millions of dollars worth of scholarships.
Tamas Bogyo is a GPTCA A Level coach, who has worked with countless highly successful junior players. Between 2011 and 2014 he was the Personal trainer at the Hungarian Tennis Association, working with their highlighted ITF team, with players such as Fanny Stollar (ITF top 10), Anna Bodnár (top junior and winner of the European Championship) and Dalma Galfi (US Open Junior champion) amongst its members. Prior to this he managed the career of Attila Sávolt, one of the best Hungarian tennis players of the past decade; reached ATP #67, and was the coach of Rita Kuti Kis, who had been in the WTA top 50 for many years; she beat Jennifer Capriati and other top 10 players. He was also Bthe personal trainer of Zsófia Gubacsi, who was former no.1 junior player and already belonged to the WTA top 200; during the cooperation she reached WTA #69 ranking; played against Serena Williams in RG R3
Marius Barnard turned pro in 1989, notable victories include six World No. 1’s; Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Marat Safin, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, Marcelo Ríos, Juan Carlos Ferrero and World No. 2 Goran Ivanišević twice in doubles. Marius won 6 tour titles and was an 8 time tour finalist. He reached the Quarter Finals at Wimbledon as well as The Australian Open. Marius began his coaching career as the Rackets Manager at Next Generation, now David Lloyd, leading the tennis department to win the club of the year award. Marius has a proven track record, having coached the last decade, mentoring pros and top juniors from the North of England.
